BBQ Girls - January is Cervical Cancer Month

Grilling with Grace: Why BBQ Girls is Supporting Cervical Cancer Awareness This January

At BBQ Girls, we’ve always believed that the backyard is a place for strength—strong steel, strong families, and strong women. As we kick off a new year in Irvine and across the country, we are turning our focus toward a cause that is vital to the health of the women in our community: Cervical Cancer Awareness Month.

January isn't just about New Year’s resolutions for your home or your business; it’s about a resolution for health.

Leading the Way: A Message from Our President

As a woman-led business, BBQ Girls is proud to have Hanna Semenova at the helm. Hanna’s leadership as President has always been about more than just providing the highest-quality 18-gauge galvanized steel frames and modular outdoor kitchens; it’s about building a brand that cares for its people.

"Cervical health is something we often don’t talk about enough around the grill," says Hanna. "But it’s one of the most preventable types of cancer. This January, we want to encourage our BBQ Girls family—and the men who love them—to prioritize screenings and health education."

The Strength of Our Foundation

Just like our outdoor kitchen modules are built on a heavy-duty, welded G60 galvanized steel foundation with PermaBase Light cement board, a healthy life requires a solid foundation of preventative care.

Cervical cancer affects thousands of women every year, but with early detection through Pap tests and HPV vaccinations, it is highly treatable and even preventable.

How We’re Honoring the Cause This Month

Throughout January, we are using our platform at BBQGirls.com and our Irvine showroom to:

  • Promote Awareness: Sharing information about the importance of regular screenings.

  • Empower Women: Highlighting the stories of women who lead, build, and grill in our industry.

  • Encourage Action: Reminding our customers that the best "DIY" project you can take on this month is a check-up for yourself or a nudge to a loved one to schedule theirs.

Join the BBQ Girls Movement

Our mission at End Zone BBQ Kitchens has always been to create spaces where memories are made. To keep making those memories, we have to stay healthy.

This month, when you see the teal ribbons and the "BBQ Girls" logo, know that we are standing in solidarity with survivors, fighters, and the medical professionals working toward a cure.
